Reflexology: A history

Reflexology is an ancient therapy, practised by thousands around the world. Here is where the story began.

On the soles of the feet, the human body is mapped. This may sound quite radical, but science has proven it: there are thousands of nerve endings on the soles of the feet, and these correspond to a whole variety of areas around the body. Foot reflexology works by applying pressure on these points, and massaging using precise techniques – which depend on the imbalances found.

As a professional and expert in this field, I am able to see where these imbalances lie. Anything from depression to stomach problems, allergies or backache – Reflexology plus my expertise are able to really help.

Reflexology isn’t just a treatment—it’s a way of life.

A Consultation with

After receiving a warm welcome (and a cup of tea) we first go through all the formalities, such as signing paperwork and getting personal details down.

Then, after a good chat to find out what drew you to experience reflexology, you’ll get the chance to experience something wonderful. Lie down, relax, unwind, listen to some calming music and await the treatment to begin.

The first session is always explorative. It’s the time to let the feet do the talking! I pride myself in my unique, and precise ability to pick up on even the slightest of underlying issues—I read feet and hands as if they were a script of the human body. It is from this script that I am able to see what sort of individual treatment you should receive.

Every reflexology session is tailor-made. There are no copied sessions. If you have many body aches and pains, these will show clearly on your feet, and in working to rebalance the body, some discomfort may be experienced. However, the relaxation and relief felt once the body is closer to being balanced, far out weighs any discomfort felt.

Throughout your session I will make recommendations regarding lifestyle changes that I believe would best benefit you. This will be repeated again at the end of the session, and there will be plenty of time to discuss any questions you may have.

At the end of the first session, I may find that you are well, healthy and balanced. In this case, I will recommend that you may require reflexology once every few months. Other times, I can find that you may benefit most from a series of reflexology tailor-made treatments, coupled with a great, natural detox plan.

Whether you decide to go with a treatment, or just a one off treatment to give yourself some TLC, you will always receive my complete attention, care and expertise. I pride myself in giving my all.
